In Dark Zeal, the fifth book in the COIL series, D. I. Telbat takes us into the heart and heat of Gaza, Israel. Agent Corban Dowler infiltrates Gaza City for a routine medical op but soon discovers an international plot by Hamas terrorists to destroy Israel, forcing him to respond as a soldier of Christ. Wounded and captured, Corban gathers his wits to attempt winning over greedy arms dealer Titus Caspertein in order to save Israel from destruction. Corban's mission is further complicated when UN humanitarian American Annette Sheffield is kidnapped, and he defies government orders to stage a rescue. Meanwhile, Luigi Putelli, ex-assassin and family guardian, searches for his friend in the war-torn city to offer his services once again. With Hamas militants closing in and the Israeli air force targeting extremists, Corban calls in other operatives to help complete his mission and prays they aren't all mistaken for terrorists. Bullets and missiles fly all throughout this book. You'll experience tunnels, drones, and the horrors of the Gaza war zone. But where darkness seems to thrive, God has placed his eternal light in the heart of faithful servant and bold spokesman Corban Dowler. Join us for this continued saga and learn again that there is no redemption without sacrifice. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Cameron Beierle. The conflict between Israel and Palestine is at the center of a firestorm of political controversy, religious zeal, and bloodshed in the Middle East. Many feel that they have a biblical obligation to 'stand with Israel' - but do we really understand the conflict? And is Zionism the true path to peace? An American Jew, Mark Braverman was transformed by witnessing firsthand the devastating consequences of the struggle between Israelis and Palestinians to bring peace to their land. From the bustling communities on either side of the Jerusalem barrier, to the historical intricacies of the Holocaust and South African apartheid, to the foremost voices in conflict resolution today, Braverman outlines the conflict's origins, gives Christians a biblical and historical basis for supporting both the state of Israel and Palestine, and offers a path of action both at home and abroad to initiate peace. Illuminating and provocative, this book will challenge what readers think they know about Israel and Palestine, and inspire them to help bring God's peace to the Holy Land.

Love's response to God's ultimate sacrifice ought to be myself--a living sacrifice. This book gives the happy secret of the life on fire for God. Every moment, every dollar, every talent given to us , if squandered on ourselves will end up in the fire of God's judgment, and we will be happy to see them go. But the same resources offered to the Lord in the name of Christ, will be accepted by God as a fragrant reminder of His Son's sacrifice. How do we come to the point of such commitment? This book gives the happy secret of the life on fire for God. Our God is a consuming fire. The fire of God in ancient Israel did one of two things: either it purified by completely burning the offerings for sin outside the camp, or it sanctified as a sweet savor what was offered to God on the bronze altar before the Lord. We have the same choice today. Jim Elliot wrote: He makes His ministers a flame of fire. Am I ignitable? God deliver me from the dread asbestos of 'other things.' Saturate me with the oil of the Spirit of the Great Short-Lived, whose zeal for God's house consumed Him---Make me Thy fuel, Flame of God.' Every moment, every dollar, every talent given to us, if squandered on ourselves will end up in the fire, evaporating before our eyes. But the same resources offered to the Lord in the name of Christ will be accepted by the God of heaven as a fragrant reminder of His son's great sacrifice. But how do we come to that point of commitment? This book gives the happy secret of the life on fire for God. A companion to TRUE DISCIPLESHIP.

This book examines the concept of 'zeal' in three Pauline texts (Rom 10:2; Gal 1:14; Phil 3:6) as a way-in to discussion of the 'New Perspective' on Paul.   The concept of zeal has been discussed in a sustained way by James D. G. Dunn, who argues that Paul was drawing on a long and venerable tradition of Jewish zeal for the nation of Israel, that is, a concern to maintain Israel's distinction from the surrounding nations by defending and reinforcing its boundaries. Ortlund interacts with Dunn, agreeing that this concern for distinctiveness was a crucial, and neglected, concern of Paul's before his conversion. Nevertheless, Ortlund contends that Dunn has presented an overly narrow understanding of Pauline zeal that does not sufficiently locate zeal in the broader picture of general obedience to Torah in Jewish tradition. As such, Ortlund shows in this work that zeal refers most immediately to general obedience to Torah - including, but not to be centrally circumscribed as, ethnic distinction.
